Introducing Newsicals! and The Control Group

- Newsicals! began in the summer of 2020 in the early months of the lockdowns for the Covid-19 pandemic. Teri's catering business of 25 years was shut down, deemed non-essential. Seabury, a musician and private music teacher also found himself without gigs and students. Teri found solace in gardening and noticed that while in the garden songs and poems began "sprouting and growing" along with the vegetables and flowers. By the summer of 2021 there was a collection of 14 songs, 12 making up the compilation that became the albums "Covid Pandemic - The Newsical!" followed by Act Two - "Truth Will Rise" 2022-2023

About The Control Group
What the heck is a Control Group?!
- We, and those we've met in the health freedom community since 2021, chose to remain in the placebo arm of the global covid "vaccine" experiment. Therefore, we are in the control group, necessary for the stated scientific gold standard to be met in order to determine both short and long term effects of the injections and other measures. We're happy to do our part! Somebody's got to do it. To health & freedom & happiness!
Our Influences
We draw inspiration from a wide range of musical genres, including folk, rock, blues, musical theater, and more. Lyrically & musically, we are diverse by design. Variety is the spice of life, after all.
Our songs have been compared to those of artists
Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie, Tom Lehrer, and topical songwriters. Very often we hear, "Your lyrics are spot on!"
When all is sung and done 'The Control Group' is bringing you the news through original songs for all who wish to hear - and then hopefully sing along! [See the lyrics in the sections below.]
Here's to music, gathering together, and remembering the best in humanity while also keeping curiosity and lifelong learning worthy pursuits as we aim to keep our heads out of the sand, exposing truths when we find them.
